Archaeological treasures of Serbia

(Felix Romuliana, Timacum Minus, Naissus, Mediana, Iustiniana Prima)

 

1. Day (Saturday, September 7^th 2024) – Belgrade – Gamzigrad – Zaječar – Ravna – Niš

Departure from Belgrade at 07:00 from Student’s square (Studentski trg) bus parking. We travel by highway to the south of Serbia and with one short break we arrive to Gamzigrad and have a tour of Felix Romuliana archaeological site. The trip continues to Zaječar with a planned visit to the National Museum in Zaječar and an optional lunch in Zaječar (Restaurant Dva brata, Karađorđev venac 6). Departure for Ravna near Knjaževac and tour of the archaeological site of Timacum Minus and Archeo-ethno Park in Ravna).

Departure for Niš in the evening hours.

Overnight stay in Niš (3* hotel, breakfast included, in double and triple rooms; the possibility of booking a single room with an extra charge of 30 euros).

2. Day (Sunday, September 8^th, 2024) – Niš – Mediana – Caričin Grad – Belgrade

After breakfast, it is planned to visit the National Museum in Niš, Funerary Basilica and a tour of the Archaeological park of Mediana. There is a possibility of an optional lunch in Niš (Restaurant Izvor or Nišlijska mehana).

After lunch, departure for Caričin Grad near Lebane and tour of the site.

Departure for Belgrade is planned in the late evening hours.

The price includes:

– Modern bus transportation (high-floor bus, AC/TV) on the route by the program

– Entrance fees (Felix Romuliana and the National Museum in Zaječar, Timacum Minus and Archeo-ethno Park Ravna, the National museum in Niš, Archaeological park Mediana and Archaeological site Caričin grad)

– Visits to the museums and archaeological sites accompanied by a guide

– One overnight stay in Niš (3* hotel, breakfast included, in double and triple rooms). There is a possibility of booking a single room with an extra charge of 30 euro per person per night.

– Hotel city tax

 

The price does not include:

– Meals (lunch in Zaječar and Niš)

– Individual expenses

 

The excursion price is 120 euros.

 

*The price of the excursion is based on minimum 30 persons. In case the group is less than 30 persons, the price will be raised to cover the difference.
